Privacy Policy

Effective October 22, 2026

Social Awesome (https://social.lumberiq.com) is a social media management tool operated by SG Technology LLC dba LumberIQ (“LumberIQ,” “we,” “us”). Businesses use it to collect their photos and articles, prepare social posts, approve them, and publish them to the social accounts they connect. This policy explains what information we handle and why.

Who uses the service

Social Awesome is used by the businesses we serve (“tenants”) and the people those businesses invite. It is not a consumer service and is not intended for anyone under 16.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, a hashed password, an encrypted authenticator (two-step verification) secret, one-time recovery codes stored only as hashes, and the tenants and roles you have.
  • Sign-in and security records: sign-in attempts, the IP address and browser of each session, remembered devices, and account changes, used to keep accounts secure.
  • Content you add: photos, videos, documents, descriptions, labels, articles imported from your business's own website, and the posts you write, schedule, and publish.
  • Connected social accounts: when you connect Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, X, or Pinterest, we receive an access token and the basic details needed to post on your behalf: the account, Page, location, or board identifiers and names, and your profile name. Tokens are stored encrypted.
  • Publishing results: the platform's post identifiers and links, and any error a platform returns.
  • Usage and error logs: the pages and actions used in the app, errors, and the browser and IP address involved, so we can find and fix problems.
  • Feedback you send: suggestions you submit, including any screenshots of the screen you were on.

How we use information

  • To provide the service: store your media, prepare posts, and publish them only to the accounts you connect and choose.
  • To keep accounts and data secure, including two-step verification and detecting misuse.
  • To diagnose errors and improve the service, including by reviewing your feedback.
  • To respond to you.

We do not sell personal information, do not use it for advertising, and do not use data from connected social platforms to build profiles of people. We access a connected account only to perform the actions you ask for, such as listing your Pages or publishing a post you approved.

Social platform data

Data received from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, Google, X, and Pinterest is used only to provide the posting features you use, in line with each platform's developer terms. You can disconnect an account at any time from a tenant's Channels page, which deletes its stored tokens; you can also remove Social Awesome's access in that platform's own settings.

Social Awesome's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How information is shared

  • With the platforms you publish to, when you approve or schedule a post: its text, link, and images go to the accounts you selected.
  • With our service providers, who process data for us under contract: Render (application hosting and database, United States) and Cloudflare (file storage).
  • Within your organization: people with access to a tenant can see that tenant's content and channels according to their role. No tenant can see another tenant's data.
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

Retention

  • Content and posts are kept until the tenant deletes them or ends its use of the service.
  • Social account tokens are deleted when the account is disconnected.
  • Routine usage logs are kept for 90 days; error and warning logs for one year.
  • Sign-in and security records are kept as long as the account exists.

Security

Every account uses a password and two-step verification. Connection tokens and authenticator secrets are encrypted at rest, data is sent over HTTPS, and each tenant's data is kept separate. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

Your choices and rights

You can update your account details in the app, disconnect social accounts, and ask us to access, correct, or delete your information. See Data deletion for how to remove your data. We respond to requests within 30 days.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date. Significant changes will be communicated to tenants.
